About the Role

Ulysses Feedyard is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Commodity Clerk to join our team. In this role, you’ll assist with bookkeeping, maintain accurate commodity records, and provide exceptional customer service to vendors, drivers, and internal teams. You’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth daily flow of our commodity department while working closely with the Office Manager, our Corporate Office accounting team, and the grain department.

Responsibilities

• Process inbound and outbound trucks using the grain kiosk system or manual entry as needed.
• Collaborate with the corporate commodity department to reconcile commodity tickets and/or micro deliveries.
• Maintain and update Microsoft Excel spreadsheets and reports for feedyard management.
• Process and track invoices and other accounts payable charges.
• Greet and assist customers, vendors, and drivers in a professional manner.
• Answer and direct incoming telephone calls.
• Accurately enter data and maintain organized records for all commodity-related transactions.
• Provide general administrative support to the office as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Professional and customer-focused with strong communication skills.
• Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel; knowledge of other Microsoft Office programs is a plus.
• Strong telephone etiquette and written communication skills.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred but not required.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
